ABOUT WELBIAN FARM
2009 Goat News from Welbian Farm

Welcome to Welbian Farm located in the beautiful Adirondacks of northeastern New York State. We have had goats for more than twenty years. It all started as a second 4-H project for our children who showed horses. The name Welbian was the result of taking letters from Welara ( a breed of pony that we had) and Nubian which was our first breed of goats.
Eventually, the children grew up and made their own way into the world. Glen and I enjoyed the goats and decided we would continue with the breeding and showing. Although we are mostly known for our Toggenburgs, we also raise Alpines, Lamanchas, Oberhasli, Recorded Grades, a few Saanens, and our retirement project Nigerian Dwarfs!
We Linear Appraise annually. Our showing in the past few years has been limited due to the fact that Glen works out of state most of the time. We manage to make a few shows in New York and New England and have attended several National Shows and have placed well with all breeds.
Our kids are raised on a CAE prevention program. They get a CD-T shot at one and two months of age as well as Selenium at birth. We do require a $50.00 deposit on all kids and shipping and health checks are the responsibility of the buyer. We can ship via Delta Airlines out of Albany, New York or Continental Airlines out of Burlington, VT.
If you see something you like, give us a call and we will try to answer any questions you may have. We can be reached at 518-643-2327. We can also be reached by email.
Thank you for your interest in our herd.
