This young buck is the piece of the puzzle we needed. He combines the genetics of what we are using into one package and allows us to line breed for the consistency we see in our Toggenburgs. We have found from experience that linebreeding is the way to go. This buck is all we expected him to be. He was originally sold as a kid and was due to go out west. At the last minute he developed a runny nose and didn’t pass the health papers to travel to Nationals. What a sigh of relief. He has wonderful feet and legs with good angulation. His most striking feature is his head. He has a short old-style Oberhasli head with wonderful strength throughout. He is a deep red bay with correct black markings. He is with another herd for a few years but will return to us at a later date.  His daughter Black Velvet freshened with a very nice mammary. He is presently on lease.
